Giselle Ayala Mateus focuses on business, trademark, and copyright law, with a particular focus on their relationship to artificial intelligence, advertising regulation, media, and licensing. She takes a proactive, solutions-oriented approach, helping clients identify risks early and implement legal strategies that support growth, innovation, and long-term success.
Giselle has served as outside general counsel for various companies and nonprofit organizations, providing advice on issues related to trademarks, licensing, advertising, social media, and corporate governance.
As part of her practice, Giselle provides representation and negotiation of transactions related to commercial contracts, leases, Business to Consumer agreements, Business to Business agreements, publishing contracts, collaboration between writers, joint ventures, and corporate associations.
Giselle works closely with independent professionals and small to medium-sized organizations, delivering practical legal support across key areas of business law, including contracts, trademarks, copyright, media, and advertising. Her approach emphasizes anticipating potential issues, crafting effective strategies, and helping clients make informed, confident decisions.
Giselle is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA) where has served as Co-Chair of the Publications Committee since 2023.

Giselle is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA) where has served as Co-Chair of the Publications Committee since 2023, and a volunteer for the Copyright Clinic of the Center for Art Law. When she is not practicing law Giselle loves to join creators at art galleries, cosplay events and film conventions. Giselle is also an active Brooklyn Law School alumni supporting their work guiding incoming international students.
